If you’re not familiar, the awesome online TV show, Tattoo Age, follows some of the best American tattooers around their life, their work, and everything in between. So far they’ve featured Dan Santoro (of Smith St) and Grime. Now it’s Troy Denning’s turn.
This first episode focuses on Troy’s personal life and personality a lot, and there’s actually a lot here from other people rather than him. It’s just about right, really, as I think other people’s judgements of a person will be far more accurate of their own. His tattooing is obviously also in there, though it looks like that will take centre stage in the second episode. Of course, there’s still a lot of his work to take in, and some bits and pieces about how he likes to work and his influences.
Overall, it’s another great episode, and I’m never disappointed whenever Tattoo Age comes out. Once again, thanks to Juliette at Vice for keeping me updated!
You can see the first part of the episode below, and as always, here’s a YouTube playlist featuring everything that’s been online so far.
