Valerie is a really fantastic tattooer, and her work is consistently outstanding. I always hear people give her a lot of praise and expect to see her on things like Tattoo Age, but it’s all completely deserved.
This week started off with an introduction to her work, and the shop. She shows a picture of her mother which she did when she was really young, which most adults could never achieve. After that, there’s a lot about the shop she works in, the infamous Frith Street; and her relationship with those there, in particular her partner Stewart Robson. Valerie also touches on her time in art school, where she studied animation before ditching it all to become one of the best tattooers out there right now. A good career move, I think.
Anyway, you can check it all out right now, on the Vice website. Click here to see the video (sorry, I can’t embed it- thanks a lot WordPress!).
